Sheffield

On Friday night, Prodigy played a club show in front of ~1000 people at The Plug in Sheffield. Those of you who visitited nekosite before saw that we kept you up to date as the show went along through a live photo stream on flickr.

Birmingham

On Saturday night (17 May) Prodigy played the Rainbow Warehouse in Birmingham, to about 800 people. This was amazing again and there was even a 3rd new track!

Keep an eye on nekosite the next two evenings during the gigs (00:30 onwards)! It’s just an experiment, but the aim is to have a ‘live’ stream of photos and comments from the gig available in real time. I will definitely try to post some too!

As some of you may already know, due to massive demand, theprodigy.com and the ticketsellers suffered a nightmare of a server crash today when we attempted to provide you with links to buy tickets to two club shows. We are monumentally sorry this happened and hope that it hasn’t stopped anyone who wanted to buy tickets from buying them. We are taking steps to fix this for future promotions, but for now, we hope to see everyone at the shows who wanted to go. Both websites are now back online, but may be running slowly. If you are still having trouble with the link for Birmingham, alternatively call this number for tickets over the phone: 0844 870 0000.

Update 15/4 5:30pm: Both shows have sold out now!

The Prodigy will be playing two intimate club shows in the UK, leading up to their festival appearances this summer.

The shows are confirmed for:
Plug, Sheffield on May 16th 2008 (1,000 capacity)
Rainbow Warehouse, Birmingham on May 17th 2008 (800 capacity)

Now the best bit is that you can get advance tickets for both shows through the band’s official web site a whole 24 hours before anyone else can get them! They’ve made this available just for the fans only!

According to the band’s newsletter, tickets will go on sale on 15th April at midday, 12pm GMT.
To buy, visit the band’s official site on www.theprodigy.com.
You will see a news item with links to a secret page for each of the two venues selling the tickets. These links are not being made public until 16th April, giving you 24 hours to buy tickets before anyone else.
