where is it?

Avenches is in the French part of Switzerland near Murten which isn't too far from Fribourg and Switzerlands capital Bern. If you go there by airplane, Easyjet offers cheap flights to Zurich and Geneva from London Luton, or from Amsterdam to Geneva (Easyjet). Trains to Avenches are about 3 hours from Zurich or 2 hours from Geneva (Swiss train timetables).

Also playing on the 17th are Tryo, Asian Dub Foundation and The Prodigy are headlining. According to ticketline the doors open at 6pm and the evnt runs until 3am.

The festival runs for 3 days. On the 16th the Lovebugs ("Swiss Brit pop") are headlining with Green Day and Iggy Pop. On the 18th Büne Huber (more great Swiss music) is headlining with Melanie C, Eagle Eye Cherry and others.

country information

Switzerland, although being a small country, has 4 official languages: Swissgerman, French, Italian and Raetoromanian. Avenches is in the French part but very near the border to the German speaking part of Switzerland. If you speak either German, French or English you shouldn't have any problems travelling around the country since most Swiss people are able to communicate in those 3 languages.

Btw, Switzerland is not in the EU, so there's gonna be a border.
