Part 3: After the Gig [ 1 / 2 / 3 ] |
Backstage I again met Nikola. There were also some other people just hanging around or waiting for some Prodigy autographs, including also the supportbands. The very least I wanted to of course was to seem annoying to The Prodigy guys (obviously) Cause you dont wanna look like some annoying stalker or some shit like that. I just thought, well, you got a pass, why not just go and look a bit whats happening ;P. The first happening then was the power beeing first cut off in Prodigys 'dressing room' (which was a tent) and then in the whole backstage area... darkness. Well, they could solve the problem after a while and I soon found myself talking to Kieron. I asked why he didnt play the guitar anymore for 'Their Law' and 'Firestarter'. He just said: "well, I just cant be bothered, you know. I just love my drumkit, and since its the last show for a while it doesnt really matter" . He later also told me about his own new band called 'Happy Gilmore' where he would play guitar and sing, but next to it still play for The Prodigy. I also got to know from him that the gig in Korea (1st August) with RATM did actually never take place, although they travelled all the way there! Reason: a hurricane had blown away the stage!

Later, when all of Prodigy had left their tent , I got the chance to talk to Maxim about his Solo Project, and told him that I really liked his 'My Web' EP. "Really? Did you buy it?", he said... ermm, yes, I said and then asked him if that was true with that 'Grim Reaper' white label. He started laughing "yeah, that was a long time ago....." So I asked what was on it. "errm, very GRIMMY music" he said and Keith next to him, laughing :"..that no one would ever buy...." (I actually would.....) |

As weird as it may sound now, Liam really confused me again by asking me, if I dont wanna take some 'backstage pictures' for my website, and of course I did, and later even had my own picture taken with all of Prodigy... (a really 'fan-ish' thing to do, I know, but it just had to be done!) (the pic on the left side here isn't me tho! one day i'll put mine online too ...) |
